A Day at jackpotjoy group
Our last episode of 2018 has landed! And what an episode it is!
As well as honing in on much needed pool and table football skills, Alice and Rosie go on a whirlwind tour of the JackPotJoy Group Offices, Malta.
– What is it like to join the company?
– Is there culture and management strategies in-line with your work style?
– What excitements are on the way in 2019?
Huge thanks to Michela, Ryan and Raissa for being so welcoming and making our visit super special.
Have an amazing festive season all! We shall be back on January 14th!
Merry Christmas!
1. What do you think is the main attraction to this company? What’s in it for a new employee?
We’ve committed to gathering as much employee feedback as possible in the last few months, in preparation for our strategy planning for 2019. This was done through a company-wide employee survey and through a number of culture workshops – I mention this as we specifically discussed topics around who we are as a company, who we are not, and who we want to be in the future – as well as what differentiates Jackpotjoy Group from competing employers in the market, so my answer on this is a reflection of what our employees have told us.
A new employee would be joining a global company with a strong ambition to bring the Jackpotjoy Group winning feeling to the world. Truly, our biggest draw-card is our people – we have a bunch of super talented and enthusiastic employees who are driven towards making our best even better. We value our employees’ career growth, as well as their ideas and opinions. Our communication style is very friendly, down-to-earth and open and flat, and our teams love that they are empowered to contribute ideas and work on projects they are passionate about.
2. What are the key traits that you would look for in a candidate, excluding specific job skills?
Job skills are important, but we also place a lot of value on making sure candidates are the right fit for our company culture. We’re fun, down-to-earth, driven and friendly – so someone’s personality, attitude and potential are massive contributing factors to our recruitment process and selection.
After all, our people and our teams create our special Jackpotjoy Group feeling – without it, we wouldn’t be able to differentiate ourselves from others.
Our employees have fun together, care for each other and help each other grow – we share a sense of building something together. This is extremely important for us to retain, by means of synced personalities.
3. What exciting things are on the way for JPJG?
We’re very excited for 2019! Our business model is best served by growing, and so we want to see more and more customers choosing to play with us by investing further in our brands, marketing, data, product and platforms as well as expansion into new territories.
All of this would not be possible without our teams’ efforts – and it goes without saying that our headcount will need to increase to fulfil our very ambitious goals. We’re very excited to deliver some really great initiatives for our employees, in order to support our existing workforce as well as our recruitment needs. These include; new and revamped office spaces, an increased focus on our employees’ career development, and a commitment to launching initiatives that will help to connect us closer as we grow in numbers and in locations, by means of a shared mission and goals.
